Structure: Spaces → Pages → Page Tree

A space is the top-level container (per team/project/department), each with its own permissions. Pages nest hierarchically — child pages under a parent (e.g. "Onboarding" with topic sub-pages) — the page tree sidebar navigates this structure like a folder explorer. Labels add a cross-cutting tag layer (topic/status) independent of the hierarchy, for filtering across the whole space or instance.

Templates for Recurring Docs

A reusable structure (Meeting Notes, Retrospective) with predefined sections — faster to create, ensures nothing important gets forgotten, and makes past instances easy to scan/compare since they share the same layout.

Real-Time Collaboration & Comments

Multiple people can edit the same page simultaneously, seeing live changes — avoiding email-a-doc-back-and-forth friction. Comments (page-level or on a specific inline text selection) hold discussion/feedback separately from the canonical page body, keeping the actual content clean. @mentions notify a specific person directly rather than hoping they notice on their own.

Page History

Every edit is versioned — view an earlier version, see who changed what, or restore a prior version. A safety net that matters more as more people edit the same shared content over time.
